Happy Birthday Claire!

I just wanted to post a super quick update about the sweet new addition to our family, Claire Lucille Nichols. She was born Sunday morning at 9:01am on May 29th weighing in at 9 pounds 3 ounces and measuring 21 inches long. She wasn't scheduled to arrive until May 31st but she decided she couldn't wait any longer to meet the rest of her family. Here is our first photograph as a family of five.

We are all completely smitten with baby Claire. I forgot how much power such a tiny little creature has to takeover your heart.

9 Days and Counting!

It's been a while...I've been tired and lazy and getting bigger by the minute. Those are my excuses for not blogging. I don't really have anything profound to talk about today, just felt the need for a post.

Random thoughts:

1. I am having kid number 3 in 9 days. My how time flies.
2. She is going to be the cutest kid ever (tied with my other 2 kids, obviously).
3. She now has her own bedroom (complete with a bed, dresser, and everything).
4. My coworkers are awesome...they threw me a baby shower a few weeks ago with the most delicious cupcakes.
5. I hate cancer.
6. I want to bottle up the cuteness & sweetness that is my 3-year-olds...and save it for when they're angry teenagers.
7. My husband is a handy guy to have around the house...why you ask?
1. He's easy on the eyes.
2. He disassembled two toddler beds and a twin bed, reassembled 1 crib, and moved everything to where it needed to go.
3. He's crafty - he painted the girls dresser and bookshelf to match their new bed and he helped me out with this little project:

Isn't it cute? We have plans to hang it on the wall...we'll see how that works out.



That's all for now. I have high hopes to post another blog before baby Claire makes her arrival. Again, we'll see how that works out.
